This is quite an amazing little tool and not a "light use" type tool you might expect in this size. If you don't need pliers in your multitool, but still want full sized tool features, in a very compact platform, this is ideal. Unlike some tools in this market segment, which are essentially built on half of a pliers based tool, this one is purpose designed, more compact, and in my opinion, much more attractive also, not just in color and finish (which is unique for this variant - others are typically just silver) but more pleasing and practical in shape, too.
In this tiny little package, you will still get a decently sized straight blade, a very large pair of scissors, MUCH bigger than you might get in a Wave, in fact, a large double sided file, one side being diamond coated, a very robust quarter inch bit holder, perhaps even stronger than some of my full sized tools. It uses flip bits with a ball bearing - you can easily obtain other bits, at least here in the US, and extensions of every length that you might want or need. All of the tools lock solidly with a unique unlocking lever on each side of the frame.
The combination bottle opener/can opener shouldn't be taken for granted, either - some of the combination designs (I'm looking at you, GHK) are not shaped well, sharpened well, or thick enough. This is a really good design for what some people might not consider important, but it can be quite useful.
Dakoyu includes a sheath plus extra bits with this tool. You can find other variants from other brands - but they don't include those things, typically. It also comes with a pocket clip, too, which will be greatly appreciated - its small size lends itself to carrying that way.
Also not to be overlooked - I've never experienced better customer service than Dakoyu provides. Even if you aren't buying a 100% uniquely designed tool like some of the other models of tools Dakoyu offers, purchasing a variant of this sort of tool is still going to benefit from this sort of support, so there is a real incentive to purchase something like this from Dakoyu besides the extra accessories. (If it matters - I purchased this tool with my own money - it wasn't a gift, etc - I'm a real customer!)
