I absolutely love this tool. I would never pay the outrageous prices for similar tools of various brands that I see for sale elsewhere! Huge thanks to Dakoyu for sourcing and bringing this vintage tool to us!

Exactly as advertised.
A classic tool, a bit crunchy but exactly what I needed.

The tool the retro 30 that I purchased is pretty cool. I’m happy with it. It is a clone of the Kershaw A100 that I have always wanted, but never been able to afford. The only issue the tool has is there is an area in the needle nose that is supposed to be ground out so that you can use a T-shank. That area hasn’t been grounded out properly so I can’t get a T-shank in it.
To be honest that it’s not the fault of Dakoyu it is a manufacturing mistake that was made over 20 years ago. These tools are considered aged or antique. Dawson did a good job of cleaning them up and lubricating them making them look nice. They are functional and I don’t have any complaints.
I’m happy to add this to my collection. I do like to collect clones and knock-offs. And I think them for releasing these. I only wish that I had seen the polished ones that came out a week after I purchased mine. By the time I went to order when they were gone, they look really cool and if they ever have them again, I would love to get one.
Cheers
Ted

Dakoyu did a good job tidying up an old tool. The tool arrived in a timely manner as advertised. The slipjoint on the inner tools is not incredible, but the frame locking them in place when deployed holds them safely open. The locking jaws work as well as a Vise Grip pliers & the knife is good & easy to sharpen.

It looked like another tool I had in my collection. Yours felt a bit “rough” like the finish was not lubricated. I liked the design but the item was not smooth as far as operation.
